Annual Bar-B-Q Supper

Held in conjunction with the Summer Music in the Park program, on the 1st Friday in June, we serve a delicious meal with a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, a drink, and dessert. 


Diners can eat in the Community House or 

take a boxed supper to Hancock Park and 

enjoy the concert while dinning.


Proceeds from this event will provide local student scholarships for young men and women, adult women scholarships for someone recommended by local nonprofits that serve those in need residing in Dahlonega/Lumpkin County. 


The Christmas Market on Candy Cane Lane Experience An Old Fashioned Christmas In Dahl

The Christmas Market on Candy Cane Lane is held the 

1st and 2nd Saturdays and Sundays in December, 10AM-5PM

at the Community House  111 N. Park St, and in Hancock Park,  Dahlonega, GA 30533  


The market is a juried event with hand crafted and original works, 

themed gift baskets and delicious home baked goods in Ms. Claus' Kitchen. 


Proceeds benefit the children of Dahlonega/Lumpkin County

The Christmas Market dates for 2025  for the first weekend are Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7th. The dates for the second weekend are Saturday and Sunday, December  13th and 14th.

Applications for inside the Community House for the 2025 Christmas Market will be available June 1st  2025 through September 1st. 


Vendors will be notified by September 30th.

The proceeds from the Christmas Market were

 used to improve and enhance the lives of the children of Lumpkin County:


  • Community Helping Place - thousands of pounds of food to relieve hunger
  • “Backpack Buddies” and “Well  Read, Well Fed” Campaign 
  • NOA’s “White Christmas” 
  • Lumpkin County Sheriff's "Shop With A Cop " 
  • Scholarships  college, trade schools and music camps
  • Supporting literacy programs at the library and Lumpkin Literacy 
  • Mentoring, and monetary awards for writing contests and reading awards
  • Hosting the Lumpkin County High School Art Show
  • Monetary donations to other nonprofits and facilities aiding local families
